Our Mission & Vision
The mission of the Sacramento-based ministry “Bless Israel” is to bridge the gap between the Gentile-believing church and the Jewish Community in the Sacramento region and beyond, building unity between the two. This ministry is two-fold: blessing the Jewish people and proclaiming the gospel to the Jew first (Romans 1:1) and equipping the church.
Our vision is to:
Pray for the nation of Israel, for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6) and teach others to do the same.
Teach the local church about her responsibility to the Jewish people, and her Jewish heritage, by helping her to learn to think and speak Hebraically (Romans 11:17-18), and be able to better establish a rapport with Jewish friends. This will be done by teaching classes within Bible Studies, retreats, and local churches on topics such as: Understanding the Middle East Crisis, God’s Plan for Israel in the Bible, The Seven Appointments of the LORD (Feasts), and The Irrevocable Calling: Understanding Romans 9-11, Anti-Semitism in Church History, and God’s Plan for Israel in Scripture.
Equip the local church to reach out and support her Jewish neighbors, most notably friends at Chabad, the Jewish Community Center in Folsom, CA and other local Synagogues in the Sacramento and Northern California area by demonstrating the love of Yeshua (Jesus). Provide opportunities for involvement in the Jewish community. Raise up leaders within the church who have a heart for Israel to be the connection between their church, the Jewish community and the nation of Israel.
Support local and international Messianic Jewish ministries in their efforts to reach Jewish people for Yeshua through missions, financial support, prayer, etc. A few solid ministries include Chosen People Ministries (or Beit Sar Shalom in Israel), The Joshua Fund (based in Israel).
Build relationships with local Jewish & Messianic Jewish Synagogues, their Rabbis and members. This will be done by participating in Jewish holidays such as Passover, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot as lead, and encouraging the church to participate as well. It will also involve personally continuing to meet with the women of these synagogues and Messianic congregations, and helping to connect local rabbi’s with church pastors and leaders.
